2020 AGM Update:
Our Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday. Thank you very much to those who attended via Zoom or provided their proxy vote.
The AGM heard various reports that showed EPTC’s continued strong involvement in numerous competitions, increased membership numbers and healthy financial position, even allowing for the impact of Covid-19. Importantly there are numerous initiatives for continued improvement of the Club; and we have attached the full President report with these details.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Peter for stepping up into the role of President after last year’s AGM as he recognised the important opportunity the club was faced with going through the tender process for a new coach. Peter was instrumental in leading the club through this coaching changeover which was challenging but resulted in a very positive outcome for the club. Although not continuing in the President role, thankfully Peter will continue his involvement with the committee in the Midweek Mens Convenor and the Maintenance Co-ordinator roles.
It is with great excitement that we can announce (post our AGM where the President role remained vacant), our Vice President Brandon Paolucci, has agreed to take on the extra responsibility of the President role. This is wonderful news for the club, as Brandon is a passionate and enthusiastic ETPC member, with many great ideas for moving the club forward. I’m sure you’ll join me in thanking Brandon for his commitment to seeing our great club continue to be the success that it is.
We also welcome two new members onto the committee – India Donaldson and Phillip Lam. As well as welcoming back Narelle Frerker who has been a key contributor in the past.

2020 Award Winners:
Congratulations to Bob Stanikowski who was the recipient of the “EPTC 2019 Club Person of the Year” award highlighting his significant contribution to managing Wednesday Night Social Tennis.
The EPTC Committee extends their appreciation to Glenn Williams as the recipient of “EPTC Life Membership” highlighting his outstanding, meritorious and significant contribution. Glenn has been a long serving member of the EPTC Committee as Treasurer for the past 7 years. He has made an enormous contribution to EPTC with his ability to ensure the financial security of our club.
2020/21 Membership Renewals:
The last 6 months haven’t been ideal for our members with the initial lockdown in March, closure of the club, then reopening, restrictions on court usage, and now another complete lockdown. Overall, the club has done its best adjusting to the protocol requirements whilst providing the safest court availability for our members. Considering the club has still incurred considerable expenses during the lockdown, we are however mindful of the inconvenience to members. As such, the following discounts will be applied to this renewal period:
- Existing Members will be eligible for a 40% discount on fees for 2020/21. This discount will automatically be applied to the invoice you receive. In order to take advantage of this discount, members must renew by 31st October 2020. If you do not renew by this date, a new invoice will be emailed to you, and fees will revert to the full amount.
- We have also taken the decision to reduce competition fees for the next season by $10 for all players as a form of compensation due to anticipated shortened seasons.
- Financial Hardship: We know the COVID-19 pandemic may have resulted in severe financial hardship for some. The club would like to support those affected because we understand the important role club life plays for so many. For this reason, members who require support with their membership renewal can make a hardship application. This can be done by emailing Clem Oh or Leanne Siwes by 15th October 2020.
In September, you will receive a membership renewal notice (invoice) for your EPTC membership fees for the next membership year of 2020/21. Please follow the instructions for prompt payment by end of October to ensure you’re eligible for the discount explained below. If you have any difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact Clem; the EPTC Membership Secretary (0402 326 573).
We would like to say a big thank you to all our members for supporting our tennis club by remaining positive and sticking by the club. The timely renewal of your membership is vital to ensure the stability of our club, support ongoing running costs, and ensure we can continue to progress with projects and upgrades committed to prior to the lockdowns.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with any of the committee members.
We look forward to getting back on the court as soon as we’re able. Please stay safe and look after yourselves and your families.
